Obituary of Willie Jefferson Willie Sue Hill Turner Jefferson was born on September 26, 1928 in Garland TX. She passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Baylor Hospital. Sue as she was fondly called was the second oldest of five children of Elijah Hill and Earlie B. Hamilton Hill. The family moved to Dallas from Garland later and she was educated in Dallas I.S. D. having graduated from Lincoln High School. Upon graduation she obtained her cosmetology license and later her vocational license in nursing and was employed at Visiting Nurses Association until her retirement. She married Sidney Turner and to this union four children were born. Upon her second marriage to Londer Jefferson to this union one child was born. Sue was a member of New Hope Baptist Church for fifty two years where she was a 52 year member of the Chancel Choir and served as a devoted volunteer with “Showers of Blessings Ministry at the Martin Luther King Center. Her greatest loves were her God, her church, her family and friends. She was a virtuous wife and mother that loved cooking, playing cards, solving puzzles, being with the family, singing in the church choir, having fun with friends, traveling and volunteering. The lives she touched were many because of her giving nature, quiet demeanor, generosity and warm smile. Sue was preceded in death by her husband, mother, father two sisters and four brothers. With loving and glorious memories Sue is survived by her brother William Hill of Dallas (Joyce), sister- in law, three daughters and two sons. Ann (Cecil Jr.), Sidney, Godfrey, (Sharon), Heather, (Richard) and Sara; twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren, nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
