Constance Byetta Gaines was the last baby girl born to the union of Lee Ollie Myers III and Eoda Dell Myers on April 29, 1960 in Dallas, TX. She graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in 1978. She began her career at the US Post Office in 1985 and was preparing to retire next year, after 40 years of service. She was a part of the American Postal Workers Union. 

Constance was loved by so many. She had a special way of showing up for those she cared for. She was a source of constant strength and a helping hand for everyone who knew her. Constance lived life to the fullest and travelled often. She lit up any room she entered.

Anyone who knew her knows how much she loved her girls. She continued that same love and devotion to her grandsons and newest granddaughter.  

She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering faith, a testament to a life well-lived, and a spirit that will forever shine in the hearts of all who knew her. Her beautiful spirit will forever be cherished by us all.

Constance was proceeded in death by her mother and father, sisters Linda Tate and Victoria Harrison, and a host of relatives and friends.

Constance leaves to cherish her legacy and precious memories of her life her husband, Harvey Gaines; daughters, Tenecia Rocquel Myers, Temecia Jackson (Rodney), daughter in love Precious Fritts (Franklin); grandchildren, Jalen Benson, Tyson Benson, Keaton Jackson, Rodney Jackson III, Mila Jackson, Preston Fireall Fritts, and Langston Fireall Fritts; sisters, Myra White (John), Cecelia Webb (Otis) & Angela Leftridge (L.C.); brothers, Lee Ollie Myers IV & Johnny Myers and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
