Post an EventI am so sorry for your loss. Although your hearts are filled with pain and sorrow, My prayer is that y'all gain comfort and hope from God's promise to reunite us with our love ones on the earth, never having to say goodbye again. For Jesus will make this earth the problem-free paradise that His Father intended it to be. We have gained comfort and strength from this promise, may your family do the same.
Dear Nedra, I just learned of your mother's passing and if I had heard sooner would have attended her service. I adored and admired your beloved mother so much. I knew her through The National Association of Fundraising Professionals. She not only was on the Board here in Dallas but was the first African American to serve on the national board. She was also awarded Fundraiser of the Year by the Dallas chapter. I am sure there were many other well deserved accolades that she was given. During one event in Dallas, she and I had a chance to sit and chat. I was raised in New England in the 40's and 50's and had never experienced or knew about segregation. She shared with me details about life in Dallas as a black child. I was stunned with what she shared with me and felt honored that she opened up to me. I will never forget her. She was an incredible woman. God Bless you as you learn to live without her. Treasure your memories.
Hi Nedra, I just now saw the passing of your mom. I remember her SO well! Always a HUGE wonderful smile on her face when she attended our events at Ursuline! I'm sorry I am late in seeing this, I would have certainly been there on Sunday to express my condolences. I hope all is well with you. Thoughts and prayers to you.
Numbers 6:24-26 The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. Nedra- I will always remember “Day Camp at the YWCA” when our moms rendered their support and chaperoned every child that walked through those doors. Mrs. Barbara Jean James will truly be missed.
Nedra,May you always be aware of God’s presence.Peace be with you.
To Nedra and the family, I am so deeply sorry to hear of Mrs. James‘s passing. I will be keeping you and the family in my prayers as you go through this part of the journey. Praying that the Lord will lift you, hold you, keep you strong and comfort you as only He knows how. In Jesus’ might name Amen??????????????❤️
My deepest condolences to you. I remember Mama James always there to support your endeavors as a artist and entrepreneur, just like you where there for so many of us. She leaves you with a legacy. Continue to be that inspiration! We love you and God Bless.
