Mr. Eurtis E Hunt

July 18, 1941 - October 6, 2018

Eurtis Eugene Hunt was born on July 18, 1941, to the union of Eara Smith Austen and Tommy Hunt. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, his sister, and two brothers. Eurtis took his wings on Saturday, October 6, 2018.
Eurtis received his high school diploma from Booker T. Washington High School in 1963. In 1994, he united in Holy Matrimony with Katherine Powell, and to their union they added two sons and four daughters.
Before Eurtis took his wings, he was a longtime member of A Home for All Outcast Church in Dallas, Texas, under the leadership of Apostle Mattie Bradford. Eurtis loved God and God’s people; nothing that was asked of him was not met with joy and completion. Eurtis labored as a roofer and contractor, and whatever he found his hands to do.
Eurtis leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Katherine; children, Eurtis Jr., Larry, Denetra, Dawn, Michelle, and Ronda; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Lynn Hunt; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Condolences for Mr. Eurtis E Hunt

M. Roberts posted on 10/21/18

I offer my condolences on the lost of your loved one. How comforting it is to know that Jehovah, the God of all comfort, will eliminate all grief and provide permanent consolation when “all those in the memorial tombs will hear [Christ’s] voice and come out”! (John 5:28, 29) God promises that “he will do away with death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.” (Isa. 25:8) Then, instead of having to “weep with those who weep,” all earth’s inhabitants will “rejoice with those who rejoice.” —Rom. 12:15. Sis. Katherine and family, much prayer and love is being sent to God in your behalf. May it be converted into strength and power to help you endure any upcoming bouts of sadness or loneliness. Know that Jesus will give you that extra push to press beyond any break in your family circle into victory.
